Brothers

Here are some pictures of Kyle and Alex at the same age doing the same thing. Still don't think they look much alike.

Soccer star

Today was Kyle's first soccer game. For a 3 yr old soccer game there are 3 players at a time from each time on the tiny field. The coaches are out there with them the whole time.  It is the 6 kids running after the ball and sometimes they run after the ball right off the field. A parent or coach just kicks the ball back in and they continue playing. Lots of goals were scored in each of the goals on the field and a few goals were scored on goals on a different field. It was so cute to watch!

Kyle watched his teammates play for a few minutes and it was his turn.

You can see how worried Kyle looks getting some directions from his coach.

Then it was time to play.
Or stand in one place and not move as Kyle did. 

Eventually he started to run after the group of kids with the ball.

And I got a picture of the one time he kicked the ball during the game. 

He said that he had fun and likes his coach. I think by the end of the season  he will be right in there with the other kids chasing the ball up and down the field.

The fair

Today we went to the Anne Arundel County Fair.  Erica, Arley and Libby also joined us. We had a fabulous time, and all the kids were so well behaved. I know that I got a good workout pushing the stroller with the two little guys and usually at least one older guy hitching a ride. We did all the typical fair things: looking at animals, sitting on tractors, watching a guy chainsaw stuff, eating corn dogs, riding rides, and winning prizes.

It has been a while

It has been a while since I last posted. I can't believe how fast time goes! A lot has happened since I last posted 5 months ago. Here is some quick catch up information about each of the boys. - Alex is now 9 months old! He is not only crawling everywhere but pulling himself up and standing without holding on. He is cruising around once he is standing. He is the happiest baby ever. His laugh is the best sound in the world. He is starting to sleep better at night and even goes all night most nights. Yeah!!

- Kyle is 3 years old. He is the best big brother to Alex. He is a great kid. He is going to preschool 2 days a week. After a rough start he is starting to enjoy going. He also started playing soccer. He still loves construction and using his chainsaw. He is really starting to use his imagination when he plays and I love to watch what he comes up with.

Going on??

What has been going in the Berning house in the last month. Here are some pictures to catch you up.

Alex keeps growing. He is 3 months old now! It is so hard to believe. He is so social and loves to have your attention to talk to you and smile and laugh.




We took a trip to the B & O Railroad Museum. Alex slept most of the time and did not get to see the trains but Kyle enjoyed looking at all the big trains.


Kyle has also gotten a job as a construction worker and learned to trace his name.
I think he is most excited about being a construction worker than tracing his name.



Random cuteness has also been going on in the Berning house.

2 Months and Compare

Alex is two months. I can't believe how fast time is going! He had his two month appointment and everything is going great. He loves to smile and talk to you now. Kyle loves to talk to his baby brother. It is so cute to watch him try to interact with him.
He is 12 lbs. 6 oz. and 23.25 inches.




When Kyle was two months he was exactly one pound bigger than Alex. He was 1/4 inch shorter.
